Last Easter Sunday was an eventful day. We had friends and family over and the residents had a great time! The residents decorated the eggs the previous day, and for Sunday, our caregiver Caretha curated a perfect Easter meal with ham, cornbread, stuffing, macaroni and cheese, potato salad and string beans casserole. And a pineapple upside down cake for dessert! The friends and family brought other side dishes, including spaghetti, corn, etc. After dinner, the residents and some family members' young children gathered outside for some lighthearted backyard egg hunt! Then all circled back to the living room for a karaoke sing-off. The event was a great success and the residents were overhelmed with joy seeing their loved ones plus meeting other residents' family members and friends. And the little kids infused a great deal of energy into the house. Happy Easter!
